Efteling is a fantasy-themed amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, the Netherlands. The attractions reflect elements from ancient myths and legends, fairy tales, fables, and folklore. The park was opened on May 31, 1952. It evolved from a nature park with a playground and a Fairytale Forest into a full-sized theme park.

Wuppertal is a city in western Germany. It's known for its Schwebebahn, a suspension monorail dating from 1901.

De Haan is a place and a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the villages of De Haan proper, Wenduine, Klemskerke, Vlissegem and Harendijk.

Since I spent my weekend in Bruges, close to the sea, I just had to visit the beach on my way home!
