Düsseldorf 🇩🇪

Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany and is located at the confluence of two rivers: the Rhine and the Düssel, a small tributary.

An old-fashioned photowalk downtown, with a little help from my scooter crossing the bridge.

Solingen 🇩🇪

Solingen is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located east of Düsseldorf along the northern edge of the region called Bergisches Land, south of the Ruhr area, and is after Wuppertal the second-largest city in the Bergisches Land. It is a member of the regional authority of the Rhineland.

A hot and sunny day in Solingen. There wasn’t much to see, so it was all about enjoying the sun on my scooter!

Burg Eltz 🇩🇪

Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of House of Eltz who have lived there since the 12th century. Eltz Castle along with Bürresheim Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles in the Eifel region which have never been destroyed.

On my way back from Koblenz, I stopped early Sunday morning at Burg Eltz, one of Germany’s most beautiful castles.

Stolberg 🇩🇪

Stolberg is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has a long history as an industrial town and belongs to the district Aachen and the lower district court of Eschweiler.

I went to Stolberg on a beautiful sunny day, riding my electric scooter, eager to see some tanks and Burg Stolberg. Unfortunately, the tanks were in muddy, swampy terrain, so I only ended up exploring Burg Stolberg and visiting the Zinkhütter Hof museum. Despite that, it turned out to be a successful and enjoyable day!
