Vive la Fête 🇧🇪

For many years now, Vive la Fête has ensured an exciting musical party on stage. Since 1997, the Belgian band of Danny Mommens (ex-bass player of dEUS) and Els Pynoo has been bringing danceable electro-rock, with a touch of kitsch and some new wave and French chanson lurking in the background.

De Roma 🇧🇪

De Roma, originally Kinema Roma, is an Art Deco cultural centre and performance venue in Borgerhout, Antwerp.

Antwerpen (Antwerp) 🇧🇪

Antwerp is the largest city in Belgium by area at 204.51 km² and the capital of Antwerp Province in the Flemish Region.

The story

Another Vive la Fête concert, this time at De Roma in Antwerp. Luckily, they only performed the good old tracks we all know and like – great show! And unlike last time, even Danny was in a good mood!

Pelter Skelter

In the 1980s and '90s, Pelt, a small town in Limburg, became a hub for alternative music, with local youth embracing garage, punk, and metal. After a successful festival in 1987, the town saw the rise of the Pelter Skelter concerts in the local community hall, which became popular in the alternative music scene. However, after the hall's demolition, the Pelter Skelter events ended. Recently, with the opening of a new venue, the Zinne, a group of former Pelter Skelter fans and new enthusiasts are working on reviving the concept, calling it Pelter Skelter 2.0, aiming to bring back the same vibrant energy that once defined their musical community.

The story

Finally, another concert of my beloved band, Vive la Fête! Okay, I may have bumped up the ISO too high, but on the other hand, it gives the pictures from the tiny, portable, but ancient NX Mini a grungy look that might even work in this scenario – and in these dark conditions, no motion blur! Had a great time with wonderful people, and thanks to the band’s drummer for cooperating in taking his flattering portrait!

München (Munich) 🇩🇪

Munich is the capital and most populous city of the Free State of Bavaria. It is the third-largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg, and thus the largest which does not constitute its own state, as well as the 11th-largest city in the European Union. The city's metropolitan region is home to about six million people.

The story

Day two – and boy, was it a chilly one! If there were a Lord, I’d thank Him for bringing extra pants for layering and warmth, as well as an extra pair of shoes since one got drenched in wet snow.
Today was filled with graffiti exploration at Tumblingerstraße and ended with a visit to Königsplatz, where mass rallies led by a certain German politician once took place.
