The story
Today is the big day: testing the brand-new Fujifilm X-E5 with the 23mm pancake lens, a new film simulation recipe, and a new black mist filter. It took some getting used to — it turns out to be less of a quick street photography camera than my beloved quick stealthy snapper, the Ricoh GR III, due to relatively long startup and focusing times. These shots are tryouts, not great or super sharp, but meant to get to know the camera. I see potential for festival photography, where the 40MP sensor will really shine, or paired with my over-60-year-old lens, the Flek, for vintage high-res black-and-white shots.
