Montagne de Bueren, Liège 🇧🇪

Montagne de Bueren is a 374-step staircase in Liège, Belgium. The staircase is named after Vincent de Bueren, who defended Liège against an attack by the Duke of Burgundy, Charles the Bold in the 15th century. It was built in 1881 to honour the 600 soldiers who died in the battle.

Old Town, Edinburgh Vaults, Edinburgh 🇬🇧

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and one of its 32 council areas. Historically part of the county of Midlothian, it is located in Lothian on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth. Edinburgh is Scotland’s second-most populous city and the seventh-most populous city in the United Kingdom.

The Edinburgh Vaults or South Bridge Vaults are a series of chambers formed in the nineteen arches of the South Bridge in Edinburgh, Scotland, was part of the South Bridge Act 1785 and was completed in 1788. For around 30 years, the vaults were used to house taverns, workshops for cobblers and other tradesmen, as well as storage space for said merchants.


St Peter’s Church, Chillingham 🇬🇧

Tucked into a wooded setting beside the entrance to Chillingham Castle stands the attractive Norman church of St Peter. Though the church was begun in the 12th century, very little remains of the earliest building and much of what we see today dates to the 15th century.

Hay-on-Wye 🇬🇧

Hay-on-Wye is a small market town and community in the historic county of Brecknockshire in Wales, currently administered as part of the unitary authority of Powys.


On the road / The Black Mountain Pass, A4069 🇬🇧

The Black Mountains can be found in the West side of the Breacon Beacons National Park. The Black Mountain road (A4069) has become very popular since it was featured on BBC’s Top Gear. This route has some of the best corners, and is one hell of a road to drive.

Jamaica Inn, Launceton 🇬🇧

Several ghosts are said to wander within and around the Jamaica Inn’s old interior. Phantom footsteps have been heard plodding along corridors at dead of night. The sound of horses hooves sometimes clatter over the outside courtyard in the early hours. Witnesses, awoken by the phantom hoof beats, part the curtains to investigate and see nothing. The murmur of agitated conversation in some foreign tongue, or forgotten dialect, has also been heard in the darker corners of otherwise empty rooms.


Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve 🇬🇧

Bridgewater Bay Nature Reserve (Steart Point), is part of Bridgewater Bay National Nature Reserve, offshore is a very large area of mudflats better known by British birdwatchers for it’s population of Common Shelduck, that come here to molt annually.


The Cotswolds, Burford 🇬🇧

The Cotswolds is an area in south-central England, along rolling hills that rise from the meadows of the upper Thames to an escarpment above the Severn Valley and Evesham Vale. The area is defined by the bedrock of Jurassic limestone that creates a type of grassland habitat rare in the UK and that is quarried for the golden-coloured Cotswold stone.
