The Hasselt municipality includes the original city of Hasselt, plus the old communes of Sint-Lambrechts-Herk, Wimmertingen, Kermt, Spalbeek, Kuringen, Stokrooie, Stevoort and Runkst, as well as the hamlets and parishes of Kiewit, Godsheide and Rapertingen.

Utrecht is the fourth-largest city and a municipality of the Netherlands, capital and most populous city of the province of Utrecht. It is located in the eastern corner of the Randstad conurbation, in the very centre of mainland Netherlands.

The story

Actually, I was planning to go to Utrecht the previous weekend, but public transportation let me down. So the next chance was this weekend! While other people were walking the Kennedymars, 80 km (50 miles), or the Swentiboldmars, 40 km (25 miles), I did my own photography mars of 20 km (12.5 miles) in Utrecht!

Returning home from Ghent, I couldn’t resist stopping in another lovely city on the way: Leuven – a bit like a mini Ghent.

Welcome back to Ghent! This time, no Gentse Feesten – just a day wrapped in warm spring sun, perfect for some contrasty black and white photography in this beautiful city. Another test run for the new lens, this time paired with the trusty old X-E2.
