Paterskerk (Tienen) 🇧🇪

The Paterskerk/Beguinage Church in Tienen is more than a historical monument; it is a vibrant part of the community that embodies the rich history, cultural traditions and unyielding character of the city of Tienen.

Before heading to the Airbnb, I stopped at De Paterskerk, also known as the Begijnhofkerk. This historic monument in Tienen tells a story of evolution and rebirth.

Vive la Fête 🇧🇪

For many years now, Vive la Fête has ensured an exciting musical party on stage. Since 1997, the Belgian band of Danny Mommens (ex-bass player of dEUS) and Els Pynoo has been bringing danceable electro-rock, with a touch of kitsch and some new wave and French chanson lurking in the background.

No story needed! Once again, great show!

Düsseldorf 🇩🇪

Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany and is located at the confluence of two rivers: the Rhine and the Düssel, a small tributary.

An old-fashioned photowalk downtown, with a little help from my scooter crossing the bridge.

Solingen 🇩🇪

Solingen is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located east of Düsseldorf along the northern edge of the region called Bergisches Land, south of the Ruhr area, and is after Wuppertal the second-largest city in the Bergisches Land. It is a member of the regional authority of the Rhineland.

A hot and sunny day in Solingen. There wasn’t much to see, so it was all about enjoying the sun on my scooter!

Burg Eltz 🇩🇪

Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of House of Eltz who have lived there since the 12th century. Eltz Castle along with Bürresheim Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles in the Eifel region which have never been destroyed.

On my way back from Koblenz, I stopped early Sunday morning at Burg Eltz, one of Germany’s most beautiful castles.
