Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany and is located at the confluence of two rivers: the Rhine and the Düssel, a small tributary.

The story

For this year’s carnival, I have decided to go to Düsseldorf! I noticed that it was a lot smaller than last year’s in Köln, so it turned into a day of strolling up and down the Königsallee. Nevertheless, the people were very friendly and nice! On to day two!

The story

Wow, it has been almost three years since I last used the LomoChrome Metropolis film simulation recipe! I programmed it into the X-S10 and went to the Tiger & Turtle roller coaster and the city of Duisburg for some gloomy, grungy, overcast shots.

Today, I explored a new city, this time Tilburg, and used a recipe I hadn’t used in a while on my Ricoh: the vividly colored Royal Supra.

Cologne is the largest city of Germany's most populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia and it is the most populous city of both the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region and the Rhineland.

The story

I was in the mood to take my good old Fujifilm X-E2 out on a date today, so I did! Unfortunately, my 23mm lens had some issues, so I paired it with the 50mm instead. That combo requires a city with enough ‘room’ for a full-frame equivalent 77mm field of view – so Cologne it was!

Day two in Dortmund – this time with some proper urbexing: exploring an abandoned steel factory and its surroundings. Even got a tour through the building by some graffiti artists who were just wrapping up!
